Joint Venture

OWNDAYS is a Japanese Optical Retail Business founded in 1989 in Tokyo. In 2008, Shuji Tanaka took over OWNDAYS and transformed it into a retail chain operation that sells over 2 million pairs of glasses annually across over 120 points of sales in over 12 markets in Asia-Pacific. Since January 2019, LVMH-back private equity fund L Catterton Asia has partnered with Mitsui & Co to take an unspecified stake in fast-growing Japanese eyewear retailer OWNDAYS.
